Tasman Lifeguard Development Weekend

The Tasman Lifeguard Development weekend is scheduled to take place on the weekend of 17-18th October at Rārangi Surf Life Saving Club in Whites Bay.

This is open to all existing Surf Life Guards and Patrol Support members - whether you are 14 or 65, brand new to Surf, or a seasoned veteran, there is something for everyone!

The weekend will offer:

  • Surf life guard refreshers

  • IRB crew and driver training

  • Intro to IRB racing workshop

  • Rock modules

  • Instructors and patrol captain courses

  • Intro to Search and Rescue (alongside some search and rescue scenario-based training where you can upskill and practice your first aid)

  • Radio

  • Lifeguarding knowledge and training in teams

  • RWC training (Possibility).

Last year this was one of the best events on our calendar and it promises to be even better this year!

We plan to camp together at the Whites Bay DOC campsite alongside crews from Rārangi, Kotuku, Buller and Canterbury.

We’d love to get everyone from our Club there for this phenomenal weekend. Mark it on your calendars now and message Mary (our club Training Officer) to register your interest.
