Initial registration with Nelson Surf Life Saving Club is a two-step process (can be done concurrently i.e. step 2 can be done immediately after step 1)

Step 1 - Register with NZ Surf (national body) and receive your Surf Lifesaving NZ ID number. This only needs to be done once i.e. not every year when renewing membership. To register with NZ Surf click the application form link below:

Step 2 - Register or renew membership (annually) with Nelson Surf Lifesaving Club by completing this form link below.

NSLSC membership application

Membership renewals are made by completing the NSLSC Membership application only.

FEES for 2025:

• Junior Surf (7-14 years) Membership - $60/child *

• Surf Lifeguard Membership /Patrol Support - $35

• Associate Membership * - $40

• Trainee Surf Lifeguard - $70

• Family Membership $120

* Associate members have access to club facilities and will be included in all club communications. This membership type is ideal for parents or past active members seeking to retain club involvement. Associate members must also register with Surf Lifesaving NZ if they wish to access online resources, compete or join in special Associate member training sessions.

* Swim gear

All junior surf members must also purchase a club cap and swim vest ($50).
