SARS overnight camp

The SAR team finished off their training for the year in style with an over night camp on a secret island followed by a marine SAREX the following day. The team flew via helicopter up the applebee river with x2 IRBs sling loaded in the net.

They then made their way to camp where they enjoyed a relaxing evening soaking in all the achievements over the past year. The following morning started early with the team packing up and heading back to base to begin the marine SAREX. A small scenario in the harbour followed by a large exercise up cable bay really tested everyone’s capabilities and some great learnings to come out of it for future responses.
